Karnataka has ordered the formation of a committee called “Karnataka Minority Education Vision Group” with the Rajya Sabha MP Mansoor Ali Khan named as the chairman. The committee will work towards improving minority education in Karnataka.

Members include: Financial Advisor to CM LK Ateeq; BMRCL MD PC Jaffer;  MEIF President Mangalore Umar Teekay; Shaheen Group of Institutions Chairman Dr Abdul Qadeer; Education Expert Dr (Fr) Fransis;  DAPS Group & Schools Chariman Khalid Baig Nadvi; Former director of the Department of State Educational Research and Training Bella Shetty; Teacher Rukhsana Nazneen; Rudresh from the Azim Premji Foundation;  Dr Shaukath Azim, Professor at Karnataka University, Dharwad; Ex MBL CEO and Chief Capability Officer at LEAD Group Srinivasan Thimmarayan; Abdul Subhan from Falcon Group of Institutions; educationalist Aysha Farzana UT and special educationalist DrRuksana Hassan.

The committee will function under the Minority Welfare Department.

Mansoor Ali Khan on social media vowed to work with “utmost dedication and integrity”, and work to  strengthen education opportunities.

He thanked Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Health and Minority Affairs Minister UT Khader for giving him the opportunity.
